I will jump on the bandwaggon: A big thanks to the devs! With this we can explore one of histories more rare and sought after consoles that sparked the import market.
By the way, Retro Gamer (UK) Issue 172 (2017) has a nice title story about the PC Engine and 8bitdo is soon releasing 2.4GHz PC Engine gamepads: https://www.8bitdo.com/pce-2-4g/. I have two of them pre-ordered and can gladly report back if and how well they work with MiSTer, but I would expect them to be the same as the M30 2.4, which works fine.

Re: Just wanted to say awesome work srg320 and Sorgelig!
Sure.
The backup memory on the original PC Engine was 2KB, and placed on an internal memory to be shared among all the games that a person owned.
This caused some problems over time, of course.
Two solutions came out:
1) Tennokoe Bank card, which could save/load 4 separate "banks" of data to swapping, bringing to friends, etc.
2) Memory Base 128. 128KB of memory which - if you owned the right game which could organize it - could be organized into 63 such slots, or could hold the game-specific data of certain games. This was a very limited list (10 - 20 games out of the entire collection). Some games - like A.III or some large KOEI simulation games - required more than 2KB of storage for a save game, and required the MB128 in order to save at all.
But if you don't know what it is, chances are you don't need it.

I've been wanting to resurrect some of my old retro systems but they are in a rather sorry state. Then I found mister and was floored by how mature and capable it is. Well done!
Re: Just wanted to say awesome work srg320 and Sorgelig!
First I want to join everyone in congratulating and thanking everyone who worked on this core, especially since the recent updates that added CD support as well as virtually perfect accuracy. This may be the first core that can be easily argued to provide a 100% superior experience compared to real hardware. Once again, amazing work, and thank you!
To avoid making a new thread for small questions, I'd like to ask if anyone can provide information on what the "ROM Data Swap" hardware feature is used for.

for US releases. US HuCards uses opposite bits ordering to make incompatible with JP PCE and vice versa.

It’s the arcade card feature, I turned it off and the game is fine now. Better leave it off for non arcade card games.

All updated (linux, main, menu and core). Smokemonster pack.
C9 TV at 1080p integer scale, vsync_adjust=2.
Update: Problem resolved. Deleted the save file and booted fine with AC on. An issue with my savefile maybe? Thanks, fantastic core!

FYI, This core is the reason I bought a DE-10 Nano and installed MiSTer. The killer app!

Amazing work indeed! The MISTer is now complete to me, I originally bought it for the Neo Geo core and (at the time) the possibility of having a PCE-CD core. Now I have what I wanted plus tons more!
