Life got in the way and I had to take a break from this stuff for a while. But I'm back! I've already done another 30 images. Gonna try to get a few more done over the next few days and the send another pull.

Re: Show Us Your MiSTers
Thanks! I'm using the SNAX adapter from MiSTerAddons.
The case is 6 1/2" x 9" x 3" (roughly).
I was trying to keep the footprint small and it made running some of the cables pretty tight. Like, it's hard to find a very flexible HDMI cable that is well build.
Re: Show Us Your MiSTers
I used the CYFPV HDMI connectors for running my internal HDMI cables. They're available in a 90 degree orientation so they don't take up any horizontal space, and they connect with a flexible ribbon cable. They're available on Amazon for not much money. Seemed like a better option than the premade slim and flexible cables that are available. Works great so far!McFunkerson wrote: ↑Wed Nov 23, 2022 2:28 pm ...Like, it's hard to find a very flexible HDMI cable that is well build.

I got recommended this PSU first, but it did not work! Had to get this, slightly more expensive option instead. The brick which comes with that last one is huge, though, so got a smaller one which also worked fine.
Oh, and I did dremel out the inside of the case a little bit to be able to fit a larger Noctua PWM fan in there (not that it was needed at all)...
Btw, the TAC-2 joystick is USB modded so it works well with this setup!
That's really cool! Where did you get the case? I see it here but not shipping until May next year: https://myretrocomputer.com/
What did you put where the optical drive slot is? *** My bad, just looking on the website it is a hard drive blank panel that just looks like an optical drive.
Very very neat, my first ever computer was a Vic-20 and I see they have that as an optoin, I'll have to pre-order one.

Re: Show Us Your MiSTers
I got one of the last "Made in the UK" ones from their previous batch, which was important to me (I like to support local manufacturing). The tooling has now been shipped to China where the new cases will come from.MiSTerDolch wrote: ↑Sat Nov 26, 2022 2:44 pmThat's really cool! Where did you get the case? Here is my setup. Upgraded the Arcade 1up cabinet with 20" Dell. Also added flush mount USB connectors.
I still have to add the additional buttons

You have to go to blackwine patreon site and grab the zipfile. He has a working version and conversion over to fpga mister. It works great.

Re: Show Us Your MiSTers
Mister Mini ITX mod. I will primarily use this for DOS gaming and maybe other computer cores. 3D printed mounting plate inside with IO shield. Usb ports on the case do work.
Re: Show Us Your MiSTers
Proof of concept project wrapped up for an industrial MiSTer!
Enclosure is bead-blasted anodized aluminum to be able to survive years of use while also providing cooling for the FPGA. Uses a SLC MicroSD card with PCBs that are coated for increased temperature range. Power is provided via XLR input with dedicated wiring for the DE10 and USB board.
Memtest for the primary 128MB module passes 145MHz at 24 hours while the secondary 128MB module passes 144MHz at 24 hours.
Testing is still in progress but am very pleased with the results so far.
Happy Holidays!

Yeah, it's a stand for the AliExpress iPad display (monitor enclosure is just the one that it comes with from AliExpress). Supports being rotated and locked into position for either orientation.
Cheers Of course, here's a few more. It's been designed to be relatively simple. The button on top sits on the I/o board, so doesnt require any extra wiring, and will trigger the OSD when pressed. Then the port at the front just connects to the hub.
There's extra space in there, which has been done in part for aesthetic balance of the case (so button is positioned nicely) but also does give option to fit a usb drive etc in there. Also means can fit larger dongles in there , such as the 8bit do one.
But idea was also to not build something as small as possible, but that felt like it would fit along size other consoles, so I tend to like it slightly larger. Here's how it sits against my other consoles:

Fantastic! That is really clean and portable looking. And really handy that you can turn the display sideways.
Re: Show Us Your MiSTers
Always loved the original Amiga 500. I've been wanting to somehow re create the system, but with new hardware. The Mister was the answer. I love the finished product. It's an Amiga and soooo much more!
Main hardware components:
Terasic DE10 NANO FPGA
MiSTress 500 IO board by 8bits4ever
Amiga 500 Crystal Limited case (including tank mouse case) by A1200.net
512GB SD
1TB Samsung SSD (additional storage)
refurbished A500 keyboard
Tank Mouse to USB Adapter by tinkerBOY
Re: Show Us Your MiSTers
Davidgatt that is gorgeous!! TIL about MiSTress!!! I wonder what other "hermit crab" PCBs are out there? I'm talking about I/O designed to fit in already existing cases.
I know about:
Mister Multisystem
Official MiSTer I/O
MiSTercade
JAMMIX (itx and jamma edge sold out)
MiSTer MiSTress (amiga)
MiSTer SiSTer (saturn mk. 2 coming soon)
MiSTer Mini-ITX Ironclad (pairs nicely with My C64x Mini-ITX case)
PS1 (coming soon from d3fmod)
Mega Drive (coming soon from d3fmod)
Re: Show Us Your MiSTers
Thanks!
Great time to be alive for us gamers! And the Mister is so versatile.. I end up always using it and not touching the older consoles these days.
