I've just tried, and it works perfectly on the PCXT core at 4.77Mhz.

Fantastic! Thanks for confirming that for me, I'll set it up
I've been experimenting with different settings, roms, and hdd images recently. Yesterday I got stuck in a setup where the core boots into IBM PC Basic and my input devices stop responding (can't get into the core menu or reboot).
It's possible to access the menu during the boot process itself and change core settings, but the moment I choose a hdd the input stops. I tried to delete some PCXT-related configs from the fat/config dir, but that didn't help. Any idea what I could do to resolve this?

I deleted then redownloaded/rebuilt with scripts all the bios rom files, the core's rbf itself, deleted all the PCXT configs from fat/config again, also run update_all - and yet the core still gets stuck in the same manner. I'm quite stumped by this. Is there any other place where it stores settings, or is there some other file that could've got corrupted?

It's really curious that you lose any ability to input to the Mister framework. Even if the core crashes, the menus should still work.
If you have a joystick handy, does that lock up too? And, just in case, how hot is your Mister running when this happens?
Oh, and does SSH keep working when the menu freezes?
Sorted it - I had an outdated main mister file in fat/, from testing some other stuff. So, a classic user error, though what threw me a bit is the fact I thought update_all would update everything, including this file too.

Not in this setup, everything is on SD card. Not sure why it didn't catch that file.

None of the changes have a direct impact on CPU, BIOS or system performance that could lead to a crash and termination of the demo... only the graphics section is affected.
I recommend that you check your settings and try again. Also check which version of XTIDE you are using, we know now for example, that the version that works for BASICA, can give problems in other software... make sure you are not using the BASICA version. You now have the ROMs for both versions available in the SW/ROMs folder.
Hi,
is someone know the video_mode setting ? It looks fine in 15khz and i would like to use it with AO486.

PCXT core of the MiSTer FPGA was recently updated. But However, the screen shakes slightly overall in Hercules mode. There was no such symptom before. It runs normally in CGA mode.
When the Display option is set to full color, there is no shaking, but this symptom appears when it is set to mono color (green, amber, white). Can you please check?
What is the Tandy 1000 bios name? Whatever I downloaded doesn't show up when I try to set a bios in the menu.

A video is worth a thousand words, there is no problem with HDMI output:
If you are using it on VGA, consider yourself a lucky guy if it displays, on my VGA monitor it won't even sync in Hercules.... What do I mean by this? I won't spend time trying to make it work perfectly under VGA.

Yeah, someone on Discord told me I had to build the rom. Anyways, I got some help getting this core working, thanks.

I tried running your PCXT core again on March 12, 2023, and it worked perfectly without any screen shaking in Hercules mode. I believe there may be an issue with your recent updated core. I'm sorry, but could you please check it?
After this recent update, screen wobble in Hercules mode has been resolved. Thank you for the update However, it seems that the phenomenon that the left screen is cut in Hercules mode and attached to the right side has not been solved yet. I hope this problem will be solved as well. It is often the case that the screen is shabby in Hercules-only programs.

This is a tentative change, but after applying the following commit, the 601 error should no longer occur.
https://github.com/kitune-san/PCXT_MiST ... 887931c987
pls try it.
EDIT:
Apparently, at the highest speed setting, the write fails (destroys the disk).

ps : a got wrong color in 8088mph (return to the futur flying car) ... what config or trick can i use please ?

The CPC one is being used. The burst colour mode is simulated, and there is probably room for improvement, but it has nothing to do with the CRTC.

By the way, I won't be able to release the release with kitune-san's fix until September, but I'll write it down for then.

Done!
Does formatting floppies in MS-Dos work? I get an "invalid media or Track 0 bad error." This is with write-protect on or off. Even with WP on the disk becomes unreadable after the format command, which doesn't seem right?
