Re: PS5 Dualsense controller: Which USB receiver to use?
Any dongle based on the CSR8510 is generally good to go. Dualsense 5 with one of these dongles is about 6ms~ on average (which is good for Bluetooth).
You can search on Amazon or Ebay for CSR8510 or buy one from a reputable MiSTer accessories vendor like MiSTer Addons.

Thanks. I ordered one from Amazon.
Re: PS5 Dualsense controller: Which USB receiver to use?
As I probably mentioned in some other thread a while ago, I impulse-bought an Insignia (i.e. Best Buy) BT4 dongle based on the Broadcom BCM20702 chip, and have generally had good results with it, including with a DualSense pad.
I think it's this one: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/insignia-b ... Id=4884001
Is the touchpad “button” recognized when connecting these via Bluetooth?
Linux generally treats a DS4 or DualSense touchpad as an additional mouse device instead of being part of the gamepad function. I played with it a bit, and while it didn't show up initially, it showed up as /dev/input/mouse1 after I fiddled with things a bit (swapping between USB/BT and rebooting). So the capability is there, but I don't know that it shows up 100% consistently.
Re: PS5 Dualsense controller: Which USB receiver to use?
Ok thank you. I saw similar behavior with DualShock 4 on Bluetooth so I switched to the official DS4 USB adapter. Latency is probably higher but the touchpad button is recognized. Specifically the PSX core allows you to toggle analog / digital controller mode which I find convenient.

I ordered a CSR8510 from Amazon. Here: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07RJG7YYW? ... ct_details
But I still can't get it to work. I go to Scripts, then Bluetooth pair, and then press the buttons on the PS5 controller to pair it, but it doesn't pair.

I'm getting "Exception: Bluetooth adapter not found"

You dont use the scripts anymore. F11 or the OSD button for a few seconds will put the mister into paring mode. Make sure you have you adaptor in one of the side or front ports( The side with the Ethernet Port) as the back has power only ports

Re: PS5 Dualsense controller: Which USB receiver to use?
I just tried that, in both front ports, and the side with the Ethernet port. As soon as I hit F11 I get "No Bluetooth available".

Have you tried pairing it on your PC?

Yes. I just tried it. It's good on the PC with the Dualsense controller.

Re: PS5 Dualsense controller: Which USB receiver to use?
Strange, as my other bluetooth USB on the MiSTer works fine with my mouse. I don't get why this new USB receiver works with the PC but I get "No bluetooth available" with the MiSTer.

Re: PS5 Dualsense controller: Which USB receiver to use?
If the PC recognises the USB receiver, as does the dualsense, shouldn't the MiSTer? Is there a reason it wouldn't?

Does your Mister show the Bluetooth icon ?
If it doesnt then your receiver is simply not being recognised.
Also Update the firmware on the controller either Via PC or plugging into a PS5

Where would be Bluetooth icon be? (I am still quite new to MiSTer, only having it a couple of weeks now).

Re: PS5 Dualsense controller: Which USB receiver to use?
I updated the firmware. I just don't think the MiSTer is recognising the USB receiver.

On the Menu Strip with the date
Between the text Mister and the date are a potential 3 icons
One shows how much memory, one shows if there is wifi and one show if there is bluetooth

Re: PS5 Dualsense controller: Which USB receiver to use?
This might be an incredibly redundant question but is your MiSTer installation up-to-date? Have you ran the Updater or the update_all script recently?
Otherwise could you run "lsusb" in the terminal and let us know the output? Press F9 at the OSD with a USB keyboard or SSH in, ideally only have your keyboard and this bluetooth adapter plugged in.

Re: PS5 Dualsense controller: Which USB receiver to use?
I use the BT5.0 variation of this adapter: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09MZ ... 192P5&th=1
Since the PS5 controller supports BT5.1, this one should work fine.
Re: PS5 Dualsense controller: Which USB receiver to use?
I use this with a PS5 controller (among others) and it works fine:
