[Errno 39] Directory not empty

Unread post by earthprime »

Hi everyone! My update_all script was interrupted, and upon re-run the 'Arcade Organizer' is throwing an "Errno 39". The full output is below along with a screenshot. I tried cleaning out the Update folder, but the error persists, so I'm not sure what "_Japan" directory is being referenced - or how to resolve this. I appreciate any guidance!

FULL OUTPUT:
Downloading Mister Arcade Descriptions database
MD5 Hash: 64e53046cb8db36f1790e22e8ca34864
Different AO version detected.
Some ORGDIR directories are missing.
Last run file not found.
The MAD database is new.
Performing a full build.
OSError: [Errno 39] Directory not empty: '_Japan'

You say "Hi everyone! My update_all script was interrupted," What kind of interruption?

Delete /media/fat/Arcade/Organized and re-run the update all script and see what happens.

If the interruption was a power failure, I'd suggest pulling the card and running a chkdsk on it with Windows. FAT filesystems are pretty fragile.

@jca @Malor - thank you both. I ran chkdsk and found the directory in "Organized" that was corrupt. I reformatted the SD-card and restored from backup. Update_All then completed without error.

You probably could have just run chkdsk and then deleted the Organized directory, but if the restore was easier, what the heck.
