Maybe a SNAC Splitter in the Future?

Unread post by deltax0 »

Just saying a snac adapter that splits it 2 or more ways would be nice. Or another serial io port.
So we can use 2 controllers via snac. So we can have another controller or a mt 32 pi at the same time.
Blister already has 2 llpa capable inputs. good stuff.

Already a thing. You can purchase them from Antonio Villena here, you'll need modified cores for two player support.

The Ironclad Plus mini-itx board also has the same enhanced SNAC features using a DB9 port, including 2-controller support using the same adapters as for Antonio's.

Yep, I purchased both the Ironclad Plus and Antonio's SNAC splitter for the Ironclad for that exact reason, amongst others.

There is two player SNAC support on the NES, SNES and PS1 cores but the rest are still limited to one player and no OSD control due to lack of spare GPIO lines

Antonio and Ironclad ITX uses DB9 SNAC which offers two players and OSD control but uses forked cores

I've seen Ultimate MiSTer is going to offer a combo SNAC adaptor with two NES, Two SNES and a Sega SNAC on one adaptor with on board level shifters
