Re: Bug Report NES_20230223
Could you elaborate please?
Arkanoid 2 - The screen blurred, which can't play.
Which ROM are you using? Could you provide the MD5 hash? Could you describe the blurriness? Could you describe which scaling options you are using?
Gall Force - Eternal Story - Can't control the character moving well.
Any buttons forced make the game stop process repeatly.
Could you provide the MD5 hash of the original ROM? You created another thread, stating the above. Is the playable character stopping or is the game/system crashing on input?
Lastly; is your MiSTer setup completely up-to-date (Main included) and has this started after a particular update or it is a new problem?

Re: Bug Report NES_20230223
I do confirm the issue with Gall Force - Eternal Story (.FDS Japanese version)
Cannot play the game due to a kind of pause every 1-2 seconds, this pause is released by puching a button of the pad, but starts again after 1-2 seconds etc etc.
Not all the screen freezes, only the screen with the ship. Below there is still some activities running (blinking of the player icon)

Regarding Arkanoid II (also Japanese version) I've no display issue on my side.

Re: Bug Report NES_20230223
Make sure you’re using roms with NES 2.0 headers.
I’ll test these tomorrow too and report back with my results.

Re: Bug Report NES_20230223
Could you please check and share your MD5 ?
The one I tried was w/o header, I found another version with the header but still same issue there.
Below is the one with header that I'm talking about : (Gall Force - Eternal Story (19xx)(Hal - Sony).fds). This one is the original Japanese one w/o english patch.
I also tried to apply a patch just to see, but still the same issue.
EDIT, tried with FCEUX the game and it works as it should.

Re: Bug Report NES_20230223
Ok, I tested Arkanoid II and had no issue with it.
I can confirm the issue with Gall Force, though. The game pauses every couple of seconds. You can unpause by pressing Start twice and the game will start again, but it pauses again after a couple seconds.
Both roms have NES2.0 headers. Edit: Actually, Gall Force is FDS, so maybe not?
Arkanoid II MD5: 505158927d6a4a03ec103ee08cfdebcf
Gall Force MD5: a0ff1b03bd2eaff65af51606446a52fd
Edit: I've tried quite a few different versions of Gall Force and can't find a working rom. I'm testing with the latest version of the core from 02/23/23.

Re: Bug Report NES_20230223
Thank you so much @GreyRogue,
I now do confirm that the game works as it should once the Disk Swap option is not set to AUTO but to FDS button.
I missed this info. Thank you for having shared it
I even prefer to have this option set to 'manual' to flip the disk manually by hitting a button to simulate the real behavior which is not automatic.
Thanks again !

Re: Bug Report NES_20230223
Oh, interesting, the version of Gall Force I tested was apparently a translated version, not the original. SHA-1 is 9F4560D0982BA365B619A497E5CBB7AC90DBD2C0. But it looks like it was an issue with the disk swapping, so thanks! I had swapped mine to manual swapping, so that's why it worked.
My version of Arkanoid 2 has an SHA-1 of 9300EE2ACFE7F43CBC72CAE4E57FC5A60837C4B4. Swapped out for a different one from No-Intro with SHA-1 of B4A0835650A05A3776C066CE6A17A0119C8AB40A and it works fine.
