Yes I have it running on a 31Khz Sanwa monitor.
Running In The Hunt and R-type Leo with no problems.

I have the scandoubler enabled but not the VGA scaler. (Core is running at 60hz)

I understand that it's an alpha core release, and I understand that the audio is a WIP on this core, but I can't seem to get any audio out of it whatsoever.

I've tried both the 2023.03.26 and 2023.03.29 releases. Anything I might be overlooking?

Thanks a lot for this, I got all supported games working, but Major Title 2. The mame rom I had, has all the files with correct CRC, but with different names than in the mra (and a few extra files), so I changed them. Whe I try to boot, I get RAM OK, ROM OK, but EEP ROM NG in red letters.

  1. You should not to change anything -> You have the wrong ROM. Delete it, restore the original mra and run update all with Arcade ROM DB enabled.
You will get the correct ROM
  2. This is WIP so you will get the EEP error.

The is also a bunch of alternatives but they are not classified. For testing I created _IremM92 in alternatives and dumped the mras there.
No extra ROM needed.
There are a bunch of Japanese versions and you will be reminded that if you are not in Japan you are committing a crime.
There are a few US alternatives and William Sessions from the FBI will remind you that Winners don't use drugs.
These games are addictive, are they considered as drugs?
May be I should stay away from these alternatives. :D

I'm very glad to see this. Both R-Type Leo and Undercover Cops are two of my favorite arcade games.

I used update_all with the mra's in the SD, but I didn't get the roms, so I used the ones I had laying around, and had to make the name changes for the Major Title 2 one (I don't change the mra, I just adapt the rom to it if the CRCs are correct). All the CRC's match so now it is the RIGHT rom as far as I'm concerned.

I know this is WIP in progress and games may not work, that's why I was asking, to make sure it wasn't just a problem just on my side.

Thanks a bunch to wickerwaka for this core!

I update to yesterday build. MRA were also updated.
I quickly try all games and everything is working now. I don't finish the games so there should be some bugs. Sound is working fine, not sure for the levels though.
Incredible work, there is so much great games with this plateform.

Both the core and mra files updated on March 26, 29, and 30 do not run.
After update all, mame rom will be received
But when I run it, mister stops
black screen...
USB hub lights up
Is there any way to solve the problem?

Did Major Title 2 work for you? It's the only one that didn't work for me, but as I said in a previous post, I had to "convert" the rom so maybe it's because of that.

Is update_all supposed to get the roms at this point?

EDIT: As I wanted to try the new Paddlemania and The Next Level cores, I just deleted the Major Title 2 I had "converted", used update_all, and all the M92 games were downloaded. However, Major Title 2 still gives me the same EEPROM error, so I understand it still doesn't work for everybody.

Yep, all games except Major Title 2 are working fine. Give it some time. btw: the games need some time at the start. Wait a few seconds, they start after a short black screen.

Sorry I missed this,

I am running via Mistercade, so the vga output is part of the XL daughter board on the bottom.
Direct video is not used.

It looks like there has been a small update:

Superior Soldiers (US).mra
Basic support for superior soldiers

Edit:
Also Major Title 2 (World, set 1).mra
Add 4 player mame keyboard controls

No luck with both games. Guess we have to wait a bit.

Back home and effectively no luck.
Major Title 2 still gives the EEP ROM error.
Superior Soldiers Takes a very long time to even start loading the ROM and ends up with a black screen.
The core is in alpha stage so we just have to be patient.

New update on 04/06.
No more EEP error, addition of Dream Soccer and alternatives organized.
Once you installed the rbf, the mras and eventually the alternatives run update all to get the Dream Soccer ROM.

Hi! After upgrading to the latest Alpha core it seems none of my joystick inputs are recognized any more. Regardless what I do it won't accept any input (and yes...I can configure just fine and don't have theses problems on other cores).

Anybody experiencing this too?

Did you try deleting the input config files for the games and remapping?

Yeah...deleting doesn't change anything. I just found out, that there's something strange going on with button mapping on this core. It won't accept any button as "coin" for example. I reconfigured and now at least I can start the games and play.

I noticed there is an autosave function which I have turned on but it doesn't seem to save the high scores. The game I tested was rtype Leo, am I doing something wrong?
