Astrocade Arcade vs Console
The SMS core is common to both the Arcade section and the Console section.
Is it the same for the Astrocade, or is there a separate arcade Astrocade core and console Astrocade core? The Astrocade is a system that I know very little about.

Re: Astrocade Arcade vs Console
The Astrocade console is different from the Bally/Williams arcade boards of the time.
It is my great regret that we live in an age that is proud of machines that think and suspicious of people who try to.

Thanks, maybe a different name could have been chosen for one of them to prevent confusion I guess, but too late now.

Re: Astrocade Arcade vs Console
I always thought it was the same chipset, just the arcade board had more RAM to utilize the higher resolution video mode.
I thought you could even scavenge custom chips between the two?
