Digital vs Analogue I/O Board

Hi,
I have a pretty basic question, but what's the difference between the digital and analogue i/o boards available for the Mister? Is it simply a choice between HDMI and VGA output, no other differences?

Digital v1.2 IO Board:

• Power Switch

• Mini-TOSLINK & Digital TOSLINK Connector

• Analog Audio Input (built in ADC)

• Leaves Other 40 Pin GPIO Header Free (for possible future expansion)

Analog v6.1 IO Board:

• VGA Socket (providing analog video output)

• 3.5mm Headphone Jack Socket (analog audio out)

• SoG Switch

Both IO Board (Digital v1.2 and Analog v6.1):

• LEDs x 3

• Buttons x 3

• USER IO Port x 1 (For SNAC)

• Button Extension Header x 1

• LED Extension Header x 1

• Optical Audio Out

• Fan Voltage Control (3.3V or 5V)

• Fan Power Connector

• User IO Pins Selectable (6 or 7 pins)

• Secondary Micro SD Slot (supported cores only)

The analog board also has TOSLink output combined with the analog mini-jack connector.

Thanks both. I went looking a bit more and found this:
Choose Standard IO if you want built-in analog video: enables dual digital + analog video output
Choose Digital IO if you want an on-board power switch and an extra 40 GPIO pins (currently unused)

So that's pretty useful info for people new to this as well.

IS the digital io board able to plug an aditional Power switch (standard atx case switch) using the pin headers?

Yes the digital io have power in and power switch that supply the de-10 nano with power.

The one thing, that i have no idé at all if it is accurate or not is that i read somewhere that that power switch is not rated for the power needed for the de-10 nano (probably with an usb hub).
Did not look in too it anymore since i´m buying a BlisSter and will power everything trough that switch (that is much bigger sized).

And now reading your post after posting mine i see that was not what you asked about .
Do not know for sure but almost sure that the de-10 nano do not have a powerswitch like a pc does, the digital io board do have external pin header for the LED and the three buttons on that io board have (you can "move" them if mounted in a case).

Neither IO board has HDMI out, this is provided by the DE10-Nano.
