Hi All,
Xain'd Sleena does not display on my 31khz monitor, i have tried both of them, I can also hear it playing, I have messed around with the video setting but I get a garbled mess on the screen.
Can it not display on 31hz at 640 x 480 ?

Hi all,
I have removed the rom and MRA file, hit update all, and the new download still does not play, I can hear it but the screen is black with lines down the side.
I have my Mister set to Forced Scandouble and set to 604x480
any ideas on this?

I have put another Mister in my second arcade cab a Sega Net City with a 31khz monitor running 640 x 480 and again Xain'd Sleena still run blind with a black screen with some lines down the right hand side.
Can this game run at 640x480 ?
anyone, thanks any advice ( :

Same for me, both versions. Plays blind just as you described on my end.

I not going mad then, thank you, I was starting to think it was a unique situation with my set-up, all my other games are running at 640x 480 at 60hz no probs.
I have played with all the video settings but still no picture ) :
If that's the original Net City, or some other arcade multi-sync monitor, it's possible it will have some quirks with particular games on MiSTer.
You can try my attached mister.ini, but I'm using a bog-standard PC VGA monitor so it might make no difference on your setup.
Can also try settings from this thread.

I just run the core on my VGA CRT. Xain'd runs fine with my default setup that uses the vga_scaler function with vscale_mode=4 and a video_mode conforming to my monitor specifications.
It seems that the scandoubler function has not been included in the core. Maybe it is because of the non-standard timings of that board, I cannot say for sure. If you want to run it on a 31KHz display, you will need to use vga_scaler.
Hi there, thx for the ini Zip, yeah I am running my original Sega Net City cab with only a 31khz monitor wit forced_scandoubler=1
Maybe thats why ( It seems that the scandoubler function has not been included in the core )
I will play around with some customer settings just for that games and add it to my ini settings e.g [Xain'd Sleena] etc
Thanks again
UPDATE :
I have just set-up my 15khz CRT cab with a Mister and ran Xain'd Sleena and there it is, no problems, working full display ... so it is a 31khz 640 x480 issue, forced_scandoubler not supported at this stage
