USB inputs for controllers

Unread post by Red »

Hi sorry to post this but I'm trying to confirm that the other USB mini can be used for controllers.

I have read that the micro is the only option. My otg and hub combo are not working. Hoping it's them and not the port.

I have been searching for hours by the way, was trying to avoid posting.

Thanks in advance

The only USB port you can use is the MICRO USB on the same side as the network port and MINI USB.

Okay thank for the confirmation. Are they known to fail? Seems well built and I don't have anything to test the OTG on. I have ordered another one by the way.

Also is usb addon board just using the micro port or is it using another header? In other words what do I do if the micro is no longer working and I can't fix it.

Cheers

Yes!
No header

1, Fix/replace the Usb Micro port (NOT easy).
2, Buy another De-10 nano.
3, S.O.L

Thanks. I'll try the new cable first / maybe find something else I have that is micro usb to test. I am pretty handy with a soldering iron so I'll give that a go too if the new cables don't work.

Turns out both the OTG and Hub were toast. Not sure why they both failed at the same time. I'll have to keep an eye on it.

Thanks for the help everyone.

I've found that bad otgs can damage a hub, thankfully it didn't go backwards!
