Spectrum Next Core Doesn’t Like the Latest Firmware

Just a word of warning, the Next core doesn't like Next firmware version v1.42. You get an error message if you try and use it.

cant find any mention of 1.42 firmware for spectrum next core only 1.32 and it is working for me.
what error do you get ?

The error says that machine is not supported.

it does not work for me either. but it says that its in beta still

The current beta (NextZXOS 2.07g + core 3.01.10 at time of writing) is available from gitlab:

It is beta but it works on a real Next. I always update both the Next & MiSTer at the same time usually.

but sins the file TBU: v3.01.10 (issue 2); v3.02.00 (issue 3/4) say (issue 2) and (issue 3/4) i have no idea what that means the other files do not say in the history only the newest one say.

Well a different FPGA is being used for the newer models of the real Next so that might be the cause.

Sorry to bring an old post back to life, I assume that the Core V.3.02.00 that is the latest is a no-go based on the above comment that the Next is on a different FPGA ?

At the moment I can't get V.3.02.00 running on my MiSTer but it does work on my Spectrum Next.

This is a shame for Mister. The latest games such as Atic Atack Remake need this firmware update to run. I hope the Next core can be updated at some point.

I’ve raised the issue on the Spectrum Next’s cores GitHub page so hopefully it will be addressed.
