MiSTerCade Having Trouble Completing the Flash on SD Card

Hello noob here just got my mistercade and having trouble completing the flash of a new 512GB Samsung sd card with balenaetcher program, gets to 95-98% of validating then says fail. Tried re flashing multiple times with the same result. Any ideas? Should I just try the 16 gb card it came with instead? Thanks all
