Does it work on new version? I know it had very few cases that was used.

Not yet.
To find out if an emulator supports percussion mode, just use Adlib Jukebox and play Highways. If you don't hear drums playing on the track, then percussion mode is not supported.

I tested the new unstable build with Adlib Jukebox and can confirm that the drums are present now.
