Reyann Easyget, ipac or something else for use with 4 player arcade cabinet

Hi, I'm looking to setup a 4 player arcade cabinet with a mister but I'm not sure on compatibility with different control adapters on the mister. I'm currently looking at the reyann easyget usb encoders or an ipac4 to send the arcade buttons to the mister, but there is mixed information on what works and doesn't. I've heard that these usb encoders like the easyget don't work on PCs so I don't know if it works for mister and I've read ipac doesn't support more than 1 player?

I'm also curious on input lag. I'm reading that zero delay encoders actually have bad input lag but again I can't be sure as I'm only going off of what googled information I can find which tbh isn't much.

What other options are there for getting a 4 player cabinet working with the mister? Thanks!

The best resource for this is easily the MiSTer Controller Latency Database. Not only will it tell you what is compatible but has empirical data on latency.

Personally, if it's a DIY cabinet and you're not going to need JAMMA I would use Daemonbite Arcade Encoders, they are easy and cheap to DIY and have sub-1ms latency. Alternatively there are GP2040-CE based devices and you can purchase pre-built "Pico Fighting Board" PCBs.

Grabbed some pro micro boards thanks. The Reyann on that site says 24ms latency lol Christ why would anyone use those?

Many people just buy the first listing for something on Amazon/eBay/AliExpress and don't give it a second thought. How do you think so many of those Pandora's Box consoles and S905 emulation devices get sold.

Yeah but the place I’m getting the arcade cabinet built at offers ipac4 or reyann as the two options. Kinda makes you think again if they are ok selling something with such bad latency.
