My MiSTer goes to a blank screen when I run update-all or update scripts. HDMI output is lost.
It boots to the main menu just fine, so I can select scripts to run etc. It’s only when it drops into the terminal to start running scripts that it crashes. I can see some of the script output sometimes.
The MiSTer is connected to my home network via Ethernet and has an IP.
Tried the following measures to no avail:
I tested with two different 128mb 4C RAM modules.
Tried two different 5V2A power adapters. Have a 5V4A one in the post.
Unplugged the fan and ran passively.
I have two different 128mb SD cards and tried these, having imaged them separately. Don’t think they are at fault.
Tested with a couple of HDMI cables.
Checked the lights and DIP switches on the DE-10
I am not running the official IO board, rather i am using a new Ironclad Lite board.
Any ideas?!
EDIT: Turns out it was dodgy power supplies. The one supplied with the DE-10 was not making a good connection with the PSU on the Ironclad board. Any small wobble would reset. The new 4A adapter works great (Waveshare 5V/4A Power Supply for Jetson Nano and Other Electronics)
However now the update-all script gets stuck while running the Arcade organiser… just says “Running Arcade Organizer” and sits there.
