8bitdo basic gamepad sn30 pro d-pad not working

the d-pad on this product i just bought is not responding.
i want to bypass the joystick and use the d-pad only

is there a switch of something?

and is there a config manual for this?

I have the 8bitdo USB dongle on mine and no problem at all.
Not sure if the SN30 works without this USB dongle.

i forgot to mention. it is a wired 8bit

press Start and the Button you want to. See the different systems in the manual like Switch, PC ect.
