You just replace the MegaAGS.hdf file. Your saves are stored in the other HDF.

If you are upgrading from a 2023 version or earlier, you might want to double check that the MiSTer.ini file has the correct settings according to the documentation too.

Ah, okay, thanks. I wasn't worried about losing saves - it's just that the newer hdd file is smaller than the one I have - would I not be losing games?

It’s hard for me to say, since we don’t make the pre-made images that you find on Archive. But with some games moving from ADF to WHDL, various compression levels (I have seen the exact same archives show with very different file sizes depending on how the uploader has packed it), etc., it’s not the case that the newer version will always be a larger file size than the previous one.

But if you’re worried about it, keep a backup of your old HDF for now?

Great to see this amazing pack being finetuned.

I know the MiSTer version is available on archive.org, but can anyone point me in the direction of the version to use with a real Amiga1200?

Thanks

There is no special version for original hardware, it’s the same as for every other platform. Install instructions here: https://amiga.vision/docs#setup-for-amiga-hardware
