Image vibrates over component ypbpr consumer CRT

Unread post by peke »

Hi to all, I notice some movemnet (vibrate) image on my crt, It´s a samsung consumer CRT (some later model)

image looks perfect with HD retrovision cables over component, but with mister I get some movement, minor, but maybe It can get fixed.

Maybe someone got any clue.

thanks

Try different cores and see if the problem goes away. It might not like certain frequencies.

Are you using Direct Video or IO analogue board?

Skip the switch box and try direct connection.

No, I mean directly from IO board to the TV. Direct Video + component needs tweaking cables. I just thought maybe the switch box is at fault, as it happened to me before.

Best if you could try this setup on another TV. Also, trying with a completely fresh mister.ini, if you haven't already.

i will try a fresh .ini and see. I also was wondering if a not powered switch box make it but no. This is the only crt with component input I got.

… a vga to component cable…

Is this cable plugged directly into your MiSTer/DE10? Which port is it plugged into?

There might be a setting in the service menu of the TV that could fix this. Try changing each setting and putting it back, one at a time to see if you can find the setting that might affect it. Also, there is a cable on the neck board of the CRT that sometimes needs to be pulled to disable issues such as this, but right now I can't remember what it is called.

Are there other devices connected to the TV? Something similar happens with my Toshiba CRT when something is connected to the S-video port for some reason (the device doesn't even need to be turned on). So if that's your case too, try disconnecting everything apart from the Mister from the TV.

I think I solve it, going way all around all the inputs of the tv (composite 1 and 2, s-video, component, antena, ......

don´t know why but when I do that image stop vibrating.
