how is gamesaving with cd32 work? for example highscore in pinball illusions. save the core autmaitically? i'm asking because in normal amiga games you've to exit the game to save.

i would assume as the fpga core is simulating the hardware that it works exactly the same.

It should save to the Saves
HDF, but I haven’t extensively tested this yet. Let me know if it doesn’t work.

No, it’s handled by cd32emu

Re: AmigaVision 2024.08.18 Released with CD³² Support for MiSTer + Game Updates
Thanks a lot Limi & Optiroc, another splendid release!
To complement new CD32 support, I've added it also to ROMweasel downloader.
Re: AmigaVision 2024.08.18 Released with CD³² Support for MiSTer + Game Updates

Re: AmigaVision 2024.08.18 Released with CD³² Support for MiSTer + Game Updates
Not good on my MiST. Is it possible to reupload the previous version to Archive?

If you can be a bit more specific than “not good”, we can help figure out what’s going on. The changes from the previous version are pretty much entirely the addition of CD32 support, everything else should work the same.
A quick test you can do is to comment out the IDEFix
line in the startup-sequence
, on the off-chance that this is causing issues for MiST but not MiSTer.

There is no CD32-specific BIOS in this case, as it is using an A1200 equivalent computer to run CD32 games.

I wonder if this could be added:

You do know that Amigavision is a curated collection and not a random dumping ground for Homebrew. You could just load these random games via ADF and not pollute Amigavision.
Re: AmigaVision 2024.08.18 Released with CD³² Support for MiSTer + Game Updates
You think adding high quality game is polluting Amigavision? Especially this one that is the only accurate BD game for the Amiga…

Keep it civil, please — it’s always OK to request games, but do it in the issue tracker so they don’t get lost:

Did that before posting here.
https://github.com/amigavision/AmigaVision/issues/180
There are a number of homebrew games in the collection and they fit very well!

Re: AmigaVision 2024.08.18 Released with CD³² Support for MiSTer + Game Updates
Yes I do. Its a dreadful homebrew of Boulderdash with a UI that is such a disaster its amazing to think it was ever created. Amigavision is a curated best of the Amiga. There are plenty of other every thing ever written for the Amiga Hard Drive images.
You may love it but personally it looks terrible, plays terribly and if I want to paly Boulderdash I would load the C64 core and play it there.

Yes, naturally, sorry.
The menu lags. Seems overloaded? Doesn't respond for a few seconds, and then scrolls 10 lines up, or down.
Mind you, I use a different core specifically for MiST, and only attach your HD images (main and saves) from AmigaVision - I use nothing else from the zip.
Using a service called BTDig, I managed to find the old torrent and get a new copy of AmigaVision-2024.04.04.7z.

Re: AmigaVision 2024.08.18 Released with CD³² Support for MiSTer + Game Updates
There is no change to the launcher/menu in this version, so it has to be something else. Would you mind trying to disable IDEFix from startup-sequence
and see if that does anything? That is the only change in this version to the startup + launcher.
Re: AmigaVision 2024.08.18 Released with CD³² Support for MiSTer + Game Updates
I've been playing around alot today! My favourite game of all time "Pinball Fantasies" seems to work just fine. But I had to check "No fast mem" for it to work properly, i guess that info could be added to the game-list.

Thanks alot for this update!!!

Re: AmigaVision 2024.08.18 Released with CD³² Support for MiSTer + Game Updates
Not to argue for including random homebrew, but I thought the intent was to capture one good working version of every retail (or at least boxed) game release from the period. The "curated lists" are where the curation comes in.
Re: AmigaVision 2024.08.18 Released with CD³² Support for MiSTer + Game Updates
directory opus seems to be messed up in this version. its like it missing the custom config file. looks stock and the fonts are huge making it unusable. am i only one having this problem ?
PS
works as intended in previous versions

Re: AmigaVision 2024.08.18 Released with CD³² Support for MiSTer + Game Updates
Hi!
I was testing some of the games I have in physical format, and I found 2 games that always seem to generate a Software Failure:
Tanks Furry (OCS)[en]
Bridge Strike (OCS)[en]
One of them (I believe it's Tank's Fury, loads the Trainer, but then boom... software Failure!
Not sure if there's anything I need to do differently, but these are the only 2 games (until now) that have not worked on the latest AmigaVision.
Cheers,

There’s bound to be games that aren’t well-tested in the collection — make sure you file any issues you find in the issue tracker, and we’ll take a look!

Re: AmigaVision 2024.08.18 Released with CD³² Support for MiSTer + Game Updates
Thanks a ton for the CD32 support! Been wanting to play Diggers for a while now (the CD32 version has extra levels and much nicer music). I can save and reload my game there just fine.
Re: AmigaVision 2024.08.18 Released with CD³² Support for MiSTer + Game Updates
Hello,
I'm having trouble making this core work. I have followed the steps in https://amiga.vision/docs the only step different is that I have my games folder in an external SSD. I have two problems.
First, when I launch the Amiga core the screen stays black. It seems that the MegaAGS.hdf is recognized in the drives option so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I have downloaded the last AmigaVision pack in archive.org
Second, where should I copy the CD32 chd? For the moment I have left them inside another folder in the games/Amiga. Is it correct? In the documentation didn't saw where the should be.
Thank you!
