The update_all menu won't appear

Unread post by wmd »

I seem to be missing some cores on my MiSTerFPGA, such as Tempest. I haven't used the system in about 12 months, so downloaded the latest update_all.sh and put it on the MiSTer and ran it. I wanted to view the update_all options to see if anything is unchecked that would prevent all available cores being installed. The update_all repo instructions say that there should be a countdown that appears when running update_all and to press up on the keyboard during the countdown to access its menu. However, when I run update_all there is no countdown and the script just runs (without errors) but no menu is sown when I hold up on the keyboard at the start. Anyone know what the issue might be here?

Mods - please delete this thread. I use a CRT and forgot that I needed to run update_all.sh via PuTTY...

If you haven't updated your MiSTer in that long it is probably safe to assume your MiSTer.ini file is outdated. Use the latest here, by default it has 'fb_terminal=1' which should display the terminal for analog output.
