As there are tons of things one can adjust, I'd need some advice how to get the best out of my display, namely Dell 19" 1280 x 1024 IPS. I've tried a lot of different filters and settings, but I'm kinda unsure if I completely missed something here 
Something I's need to change in the .ini? Filters and other processing settings to accompany the .ini settings?

I would first have a thorough read of the wiki and specifically the configuration of MiSTer.ini and display specific video modes.
You should also check out atract17's repo here, there is a preconfigured .ini for 1280x1024 LCDs with integer scaling here.

Unfortunately these links are now dead. Can you attach atract17's ini file to this thread? I have a Dell P1914S and I'm not happy with my current ini settings. Thank you!
