Alright I'm happy to finally get Groovy_MiSTer working after downloading the most recent project files its' been running seamlessly.
For the output video Options in Groovy_MiSTer, CRTs generally run at monitor_15 in the .ini. That works, but I have a 24Khz monitor I'd like to use, but I think I'm a bit confused about which possibilities are available.
For instance on my multiformat monitor, I have success using the monitor_24 for 360p format, and it looks sensational. When I switch to using my 24Khz monitor with the same monitor_24 settings, I still have no signal.
I understand some games were meant to run at 24Khz but this is just a small minority. My question really is, what overrides what?
For instance does the setting monitor_24 actually output a 24Khz signal, if it does, are games that were made to run at 15Khz still run at 15Khz or, are they forced into 24KHz by the monitor_24 setting?
If games have the final say in which KHz is used, then would some games that actually use 24KHz by default (PC-98 or X68K in some cases) actually switch to 24KHz when the video format is set to monitor_24?
I'd like to understand a little about my Monitors options and if there's a way to integrate the different KHz options that are less standard, such as the monitor_24 option. Anybody have success on Arcade setups? Thanks
