I only run the console and handheld cores from Nintendo, SEGA, SNK, Bandai and SONY, but so far so good. I had no issues, everything works like it does with my DE10 in my Multisystem.

I wouldn’t say multiple people? Maybe 3 or 4 out of a 2000 units first batch? I would call that a huge success! Also, Taki is providing all the support to those customers.

3 or 4 is multiple. Its more than 1 and thats only the people who have filtered forward via Discord and are running the Games that show the issue in the N64 core. So there is a problem and its good Taki is taking care of it, but the fact that a problem exists is noteworthy and worth reporitng here for people who have purchased and are having issues in the N64 core

So, has the 2nd batch happened yet? I thought I saw a mention of "8/10" on Taki's Twitter.

hI,
I bought this card at the beginning of the month, initially following the guide everything worked, now after a few updates, the scripts don't start anymore. I deleted the sd, and redid everything, but they still don't start, and among other things, it doesn't show me the images in the background anymore, there's no way to get them back. Since I can't start the scripts, I can't activate the wifi, I can't start the update_all etc. Can anyone tell me what I can do?

F1 on the keyboard should work if you didn’t delete all your wallpapers. There should still be a couple stock images IIRC

How are you running the scripts?
Network access is required for the update scripts to function. They should run without a connection but they will more than likeley error out or just not do anything.

I prefer to SSH into my DE-10 nano and run update_all.sh from there does not help with no wifi

Do you see the network icon pop up in the menu? nevermind. Didn’t see the wifi part.

I was very excited about Taki's version, but I'm afraid it will remain in low availability for quite a while, and the price in Europe for the full kit (with taxes) and decent shipping is well above what I was hoping for (over 200 euros), so it’s no longer in the impulse-buy category, at least not for me I guess XD

Full kit is 185 dollars which is about 140 quid, so that is over the 135 quid for import tax into the UK. Although that can be avoided, just buy the board, memory, av board rather that the complete kit.

The 2nd batch of MiSTer Pi units goes on sale "on Nov. 19th at 10am HKT (UTC +8) / Nov. 18th at 9:00pm EST".

This means morning in Asia, evening in the USA, and middle of the night in the good ol' Europe. So I'm out of the contest again. Perhaps it's fate saying I don't really need a 3rd MiSTer ;)

Thanks for your post. I woke up at 2:55am and was able to grab one.
However, this morning at 8:45am, they are still available.

The remaining setups are very close to being sold out according to Taki on his Discord, so don’t wait too long 😄

The goal for any seller is of course to always have availability, so hopefully it should stabilize after this and be easily available for anyone that wants a sub-$200 MiSTer setup.

Ha :) It's tempting, but I will pass for now...maybe next year.

It's great that the availability has improved and that there are already Batch 3 preorders planned. I was skeptical about all this at first but must admit that Taki handles this operation really professionally (his Twitter feed is very active and responsive) and if he manages to keep the batches coming steadily then it really can be considered a truly affordable MiSTer alternative.

The 99$ board itself is sold out though, was it actually a buyable option in this batch?

No. Only the mega pack and the Turbo pack were available today.
Or it was already sold out at 8:45am. I didn't check at 3am.
