Final Fight CD Demo Audio Crazyness

Unread post by Eddyiori »

As I was testing all games now that I'ḿ converting them to CHD now just stumbled to this strange situation. Final Fight CD (J) runs ok till the logo as the voice yell Fainaru fight! After this there is 3 pages of bio for guy, cody and haggar, it is voiced but what we get is the ending theme. If let from now on all audio on the opening is crazy and goes on till we press start.

Does it do the same thing prior to conversion to CHD? Sounds like a bad rip.

Yes it does the is with bin+cue, CHD, iso+wave.

Emulators are much more tolerant of bad rips and ofetn fix things silently for you. An Emulator running it doesnt mean the dump is correct

Does this only affect the Japanese version?

Interesting. I tested this myself with known-good versions, and both the original and Rev A of the Japanese releases do indeed behave as described. I don't have real hardware to verify it against, but it definitely seems wrong.

Probably worth bugging here:
