i wouldnt assume that! but as it were, would be nice if the RTC and battery were already onboard and/or have the pins broken out on a 'normal' pinheader for easier addons.

Yes, we have the RTC module header on the Multisystem2 so you can decide to add the standard RTC+battery module if you require. It's a add-on to help keep costs down as many people connect via Ethernet/Wifi and get the time automatically, so may not require RTC function.
We have also added dedicated connectors for the I2C bus so it's easy to connect up OLED displays or other devices that use the I2C connections.
We have added many other connections for the future, more on that we we finish testing of Issue 1 prototypes. No problems at all right now, it's all looking good and we have the next re-spin of the PCB ready for review after EMC testing.
