Sure, but this addon uses a slot on the de10 and so the slot has to be on the MMS2 PCB!

i wouldnt assume that! but as it were, would be nice if the RTC and battery were already onboard and/or have the pins broken out on a 'normal' pinheader for easier addons.

Yes, we have the RTC module header on the Multisystem2 so you can decide to add the standard RTC+battery module if you require. It's a add-on to help keep costs down as many people connect via Ethernet/Wifi and get the time automatically, so may not require RTC function.

We have also added dedicated connectors for the I2C bus so it's easy to connect up OLED displays or other devices that use the I2C connections.

We have added many other connections for the future, more on that we we finish testing of Issue 1 prototypes. No problems at all right now, it's all looking good and we have the next re-spin of the PCB ready for review after EMC testing.

Very nice, but what I don't really understand is the fact that these "new ports and features" were not also brought to the expansion slot. I haven't checked the situation, but with a custom design this should be possible without any problems. In my eyes, this slot was the elementary idea of the multisystem and could have been expanded very elegantly.

The existing Multisystem expansion port (cartridge slot) has 46 pins and all of them are used/allocated for I/O and functions. We have added another 50 way connector with lots more I/O and useful future expansion. It's not possible to add another 40+ I/O lines onto an already populated port.
We also wanted to keep 100% backward compatibility with Multisystem cartridges for Multisystem2 as they are so easy to use for SNAC and other expansion.

This additional second I/O expansion port can be used for more back I/O or maybe another cartridge port or for many other potential functions in hardware expansion. We have mounting points on the main PCB so a daughter board can be fitted to the 50 way connector and then you can have whatever I/O is needed - this could be a second video port, cartridge reader, functional I/O ports like Serial, parallel, Midi, FDD connector etc. none of that has been defined yet. it's all just spare FPGA I/O for future use.

I could be interested by this one. Do you work your video output implementation ?
Previous board have bad readings if we trust Kuro Houou tests. And as we still not having any good hdmi to vga adapter that check all the boxes, it would be nice to have perfect video output directly out of the box.

One other thing I'd be interested in: on the new case for the MMS 2, create room for the Noctua 40mm fan as an option. Now that they're readily available again, I'd prefer to use Noctua instead of the 30mm on the MMS1 (which I find to be too loud, even after verifying the direction and using the 3.3V header).

if you look on the latest Video, you see that there is no Wlan or BT Module on Board.
Make also no sense, as the USB Adapters are realy cheap and flexible in usage.
