Need help setting up connection to a CRT

I own this unit
It comes with a VGA port in the back.
I have an old TV/VCR with the yellow video composite connection.
What exactly do I need to purchase to make this VGA go to composite?
Secondly, how would I get sound out of this?

You dont get sound out of the VGA at all. You will need to get another cable from the 3.5 mm line out or better still get a dac and connect it to the same port where it will be using the optical out

Yes but would I need to change jumpers to allow VGA out? I heard I might need to. Or is my setup just plug and play and of course update ini settings?

Most likely it will just work with the appropriate MiSTer.ini settings. You may need to toggle a sync on green jumper on the I/O board, but don't worry about it until you get the parts you need to try it.
