Atari ST Core 4:3 Incorrect

Unread post by ransom »

Atari ST Core..

Is it just me or does this core seem to be horizontally shrunk when you use it? Everything looks skinny..

Currently my config is 4:3 aspect ratio with borders Visible, using a 16:9 Screen.

When I enable 16:9 aspect ratio its stretched too much horizontally..

I think there may be an issue as I obtained an image of xenon 2 on a real Atari st.. attached on top.

Could be you have NTSC enabled?

I see no toggle for NTSC or PAL in the ST core GUI?

Right, I thought there was one, from some other suggestion.

Can't really comment on the image size because I haven't got it to run on my Direct Video myself yet.

If I recall correct 50Hz/60Hz is enabled by the use of a PAL or NTSC Rom. Mistery starts in 50Hz when I use a PAL Rom and I am able to switch to 60Hz by using a 60Hz program or change the refresh rate in the game (if the game supports it). To me the aspect ratio looks fine over HDMI.

For me, an aspect ratio of 8 to 5 works
