ok so i could keep the screen and need to print a new case. are there 3d printer files for fitting cases?

The attentive reader of the project wiki will have seen that there are some ;)
For a SSD1322 display and a Lolin32/ESP32-DevKitcC-V4 of your PCB you could use the "ssd1322-high-version" for a full stacked setup. If you prefer a "small stacked" setup, in the directory mentioned above are files for OpenSCAD which you can use to customize the housing to your own phantasy.

ok, thanks. i will think about it.
how much would you sell the ESP32 with the respective board shipping included?

A quick "refresh" would be to delete the edited file tty2oled-user.ini and to rerun update_tty2oled.sh afterwards.

Thanks, this is perfect!

I'm not selling devices, neither assembled nor in parts, but you get one for a handful of bucks from Amazon, for example.

You are welcome!
Where are you located? Europe or "rest of the world"? Chances are high that I'm having some spare/naked ESP32 PCBs you could get for postage costs. And soldering an ESP32 to the PCB is a beginner's task as there are only pins "to connect". No small and fiddly parts.

Maybe this was written misleading...I was offering naked PCBs for ESP32s.

I’m sorry if this is a dumb question, but I can’t seem to find my answer. I just received the Antonio Villena tty2oled and I would like to change the color of the screen.

Any help is appreciated, thanks!

You can't change the colour on these screens. They are a set colour depending on the panel purchased (I think Antonio sells just white?), you would need to physically swap the panel for blue/green/yellow.

All the information you need can be found on the first page of this thread. The wiki goes over all the requisite hardware and steps to build it.

You can easily source the SSD1322 screens on Aliexpress, Amazon or eBay.

Since yesterday (I've been updating MiSter almost daily) that I've been getting these errors when MiSter initiates communication with tty2oled's DevKitC V4:
[ 83.067021] cp210x ttyUSB0: failed to get comm status: -32
[ 83.067471] cp210x ttyUSB0: usb_serial_generic_read_bulk_callback - urb stopped: -32

[ 83.097425] cp210x ttyUSB0: failed set request 0x12 status: -32

[ 83.157255] cp210x ttyUSB0: cp210x_open - Unable to enable UART

I've tried a different USB cable, but to no avail.

After bootup, sometimes the MiSter splash screen won't show, sometimes the SAM, and core images won't get updated.

Any hints?

It looks like the usb-serial device of your display is not correctly detected (at the configured interface).
Did you add a new USB Device to your MiSTer System?

Double check this site as well

I switched the Devkitc and the bluetooth dongle with each other. Later, I switched them back.

I'll follow the troubleshooting page. Thanks! :)

Is there any way to flip the tty2oled display from the MiSTer OS? I took out the microSD, flipped the display via the .ini settings, and everything worked great. But I accidentally ran updatealltty2oled instead of updateall and now the display is upside down again.

Any help is appreciated!

All user changes must be added to the users ini file
/media/fat/tty2oled/tty2oled-user.ini

If not a tty2oled update can revert the tty2oled system ini
/media/fat/tty2oled/tty2oled-system.ini
back to the defaults.

See https://github.com/venice1200/MiSTer_tt ... n#ini-file

Thank you, this was easy and quick. My MiSTer build is getting bigger now and getting to the SD card is a pain!

I received my screen with a new ESP32 board from Antonio and it works but not without help.
Every time i start the MisterFPGA fresh it shows the mister logo, then the two UU and the goes black.
After starting the setting script it runs as it should but not the next time again.
Is there a setting i am missing?

Thanks.

„RetroCastle Dual RAM“ is an all in one board solution with two ram modules, correct?

Could you also provide the cli output of the command
„dmesg | grep tty“

yes, you are correct with the retrocastle setup and btw the tty2oled worked fine with old ESP8266 board.

The same MiSTer Hardware works with your ESP8266 Board without Problems?

Could you measure the Voltage at the USB Ports?

You can try also:

  • Just Power your ESP32 Display on a USB Charger and tell us what happens.

  • Try another USB Cable

  • I am waiting for other Ideas

on a regular Charger it just displays the loading screen with the build date.

i don't have any other usb cable to test unfortunately

but it works fine and forever after staring the script tty2oled_cc and running the update. it connects to USB0 and works. only after powering the mister off and on again that this error occurs.

Please post your ini files here.

Actually I have no real idea.
It looks like the Display receives some data after the MiSTer Logo screen and just show them.

Please post your two ini files here.

The file and the settings should be Ok.
Is „UU“ shown everytime or other letters as well?

You can try (just ideas)
-Try all available USB Ports if not already done
-Try another USB Cable
-disabling the tty2oled autostart to see if UU is still shown after a restart/reboot
There must be a line in „/media/fat/linux/user-startup.sh“ which must be commented out (#)
-Is there another MiSTer user around you for a test?

Thanks. I will try these today evening and give you feedback. I only have one cable as these boards use mini USB which is super uncommen nowadays. But i have a second RetroCastle Mister with an analog board and will try with that one.
