Sorry for late response. I haven't had much free time to look into it but I did get the chance to fire it up today and check out the demo you mentioned.
Not displaying correctly is an understatement. I'll have to look into the cause of it and see if it's something I can tinker with.
As for the border issue on the 256 side, it's not directly supported by the VDP 9938 code like it is for the VDP 9918 (used by the TC01) so that's why you don't see it working. What I can try to do, once the issue above is addressed, is maybe add a cropping feature to the video when that VDP is used, or implement it for both VDP outputs and disable the option on the vdp itself.
Of course, this all still comes down to what Pierco will ultimately approve, because any drastic changes I make, can impact what he has planned for future plans/expansion or what not.

Thanks for taking the time out of your busy schedule to look at it @flandango.
@Pierco has developed a nice core there and I hope you can figure something out because it's worth using.

Trying to find the einstein256 mess emulation for some comparison. I know it exists but not much success tracking it down so far 🤔

That did the trick!
Thanks :-)

I have found, while testing, that the game Time Pilot starts but then exhibits graphical issues in TC01 and 256 modes and the game Hunchback runs too fast plus exhibits graphics glitches in 256 mode 🤔

So, trying to have a play, figure out the control break to boot the disk, but how do you load a .com file, tried load "file", "file.com", or load file.
Tried a google, couldn't find a straight answer either.
Many thanks.

To load a COM file simply type it's name (you can leave off .com).
To load an XBS (BASIC) file, first load XBAS and then from BASIC you can DIR for disc content and use the LOAD " " command to load a BASIC program

Got home, yay, Manic Miner and Jet Set Willy sorted. Arrgh, they're not cracked, both need the colour codebooks, lets seee if it's the same one as the spectrum....Edit it is, and they both work. Thanks again.

Glad you're enjoying it @niallquinn. It was a good computer and this is a good Core although needing a little attention
