Nothing wrong with a little hype - its nice to be excited for the future... difficult in todays modern world!
EDIT, not valid anymore with latet build from yesterday.
EDIT2, okease saee new spreadsheet below, there's 700gig cdi dumped, it's a lot to get though. Even if you only try a couple of titles, please update the new spreadsheet. Thanks.
Seriouslt been testing all day, the MESS Chds, the CDI redump set, it's running loads, a good few are playable. Slamy has done fantastic work in 2 months.
You can compile the rbf yourself - https://github.com/Slamy/CDi_MiSTer or use this downloader which will pull it down - https://github.com/OngoGablogian/MiSTer_Ongo Along with loads of other stuff that isn't in the main update all.
Oh and this is the new spreadsheet - https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... 1832020751
Pleas request access and update as you try stuff, I just played Defender of the crown, perfect, no glitches.
Seriously this core is flying day by day.
Hoping some kind soul can help me get this one up and running.
I went ahead and put the latest version of the .rbf file dated 03 Oct 24 (from: https://github.com/OngoGablogian/MiSTer ... n/_Console) in my SD card's _Console folder.
I then followed this instruction:
For the CD-i core to function properly you must add the lines below to your MiSTer.ini file.
[CD-i]
main=MiSTer_CDi
And this one from the main project GitHub:
Usage
Place cdi200.rom as boot0.rom in /media/fat/games/CD-i. Place zx405042pcdi_slave_2.0b43t__zzmk9213.mc68hc705c8a_withtestrom.7206 as boot1.rom next to it.
I then added some games (all four of the classic Nintendo licensed ones, in both CHD and BIN/CUE) format.
Anyway, I can get to the main CD-i menu, but when I insert a disc via the OSD and click on the arrow under "Play CD-i," it just hangs on a baby blue blank screen indefinitely.
UPDATE: I tried putting the file "MiSTer_CDi" obtained from the link above to my card's root directory, but this just seems to result in a crash of some kind (power light remains on, but display shows "no signal" error) when booting the CD-i core.
There's clearly something I've overlooked. Any ideas?
Make sure the MiSTer_CDi file is in /media/fat.
