impossible to say over a distance but mine had a power button that started depressing after a while , after i tried several things and even bought a new psu (which was desperate b/c it worked before so theres no reason it would suddenly need more power for the same setup) turns out i had to clamp the button (since i dont have a soldering kit and i never really soldered on a button so i prefer not to) and that way it stayed pressed down and everything runs fine. Otherwise it started up "sometimes" but got worse over time and the red leds kept blinking too indeed but it also rebooted often IF it got to the startup screen ... for what its worth my 2cents ... i suppose if you have ever done some soldering it cant be too much rocket science to just replace (or simply remove) the button ... good luck, dont fry the board lol
what is this button you are talking about? de10 nano doesnt have one, it would turn on immediatelly when powered on, which is not happening in this case. I believe you didnt see the video.
Im sorry i didnt i just answered fast the problem i encountered in case of similarities, mea culpa, i have a case with a power button and about everything on top and in my case i thought the board was gone but in fact it was the power button , sorry for the confusion

Typical ESD damage, it commonly happens to the Mister when fiddling with it when it’s not in a case, like here. Nothing to do about it, just throw away and get a new one. And get a case, too, a metal one. That’s the only protection against this sort of thing, this makes the electrostatic discharge go to ground instead of directly into sensitive chips.
I was using the acrylic on top and bottom, it has been 3 years like this.
Acrylic top and bottom will not protect you from ESD damage, especially not around the ports.

That's exactly what I have, it works and looks great. I've zapped my Mister so many times and no issues. I use a CRT which creates a LOT of static when it starts up, so I try to remember to start the Mister first and then the CRT but often I forget and do it the other way around. So I get charged by the CRT and then zap the Mister. Not ideal.

mine has a flakey sd card slot and wont power up unless i put some upward force on the sdcard - usually a lump of bluetack... try it and see if it works!
