ScummVM 2.9.0 has been released ! :-)

I've updated my repo with build of branch-2-9-0 and refreshed the "master" build.

I also enabled support for Arm NEON CPU extensions. I don't think it will enable any new features but may offer performance gains.

When i install a new version via the script:

  • Do I have configure everything again or is the configuration taken over from a "general settings" place or soemthing like that?

  • Shoud I (how can I) deinstall old versions of ScummVM? I have like 8 or so older versions form 2.3,2.5,2.51,2.6 and so on,,,?

I just re-downloaded the sh install script and ini file. Then I ran the installer to get 2.9.0. All my settings were there for the games.

Simply Delete the launch script in the Scripts folder (ie. /media/fat/Scripts/ScummVM_2_3.sh) and the corresponding binary file (ie. /media/fat/ScummVM/scummvm23) in the ScummVM folder.

Is it possible to run a script not from the Scripts menu, but from the start menu (for example, from the Computers folder)? :)

Its not a Core. Its an executable running on the ARM chip of the DE10.

I can't get simon2-cd-fr to work with 2.7.0. Anyone is able to ?

can only tell for the cd-de version, that is working for me. Though it does not have full speach, mostly text.

Got it to work, without full speech. Should I raise an issue for it on GitHub ?

Necroposting my initial post to say that now full speech works with 2.9.0

Would be nice if you tell us what the problem was :-)
