Re: Show Us Your MiSTers
I've reused an old 3.5 HDD Lacie carrying case, everything fits perfectly.

Re: Show Us Your MiSTers
Thanks! Currently I just wrap it in esd bag and electronics bubble wrap when I've taken it on a plane and all that. I like the idea of having a semi-hard case though with soft interior for it. Too bad that one is sold out, I'm looking for alternatives now.BigMac2 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 05, 2021 8:00 pmI've reused an old 3.5 HDD Lacie carrying case, everything fits perfectly.

Most case for 3.5 HDD should be high enough for a fully build MiSTer to fit in with extras.aberu wrote: ↑Mon Jul 05, 2021 9:08 pmThanks! Re: Show Us Your MiSTers
I love seeing so many cool case projects in this thread, also many thanks to anyone who has my wedge case, I saw a few examples and liked the beige one.
This was something new, but I didn't like using it. I wanted a keyboard that was easy to find and I could design to fit perfectly. The PI keyboard also has a USB hub so for a basic setup it reduced the setup and made smaller. The other idea was a fixed base and then print sides and a top that can be swapped and I tried magnets, but it was not strong enough to keep the top in place. It just didn't feel nice to type on.

Now there have a new version of this,it has type-c power supply and a power switchDerGali wrote: ↑Thu Feb 11, 2021 1:08 am Got a new case with a custom ioboard/usb combo from taobao (saw it on the Mister Facebook group). They have various colour variants and even an aluminum design.
Very nice and slim design. They replaced the vga port with a sega Saturn one. Which is okay. But I think I would prefer the vga one. I added/fiddled a usbc port for power which cracked a bit of the plastic. Nothing superglue can't fix.

Re: Show Us Your MiSTers
Thought I'd post some pics of my Mini ITX Mister build. It's done, but these things are never done Waiting on a better case badge, and I might also add some buttons to the front for osd/reset/user.
The case I used https://www.silverstonetek.com/product. ... 23&area=en is convertible between 2 different sizes by swapping out the top cover and front faceplate. I used the smallest one, which is 63mm tall, and everything just *barely* fits.
The adapter and IO shield are modified and 3d printed from wickedsun's source files: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4738986
I have it setup for analog out as well as HDMI. Due to lack of space, I had to sacrifice two of the available USB ports, so there are only 2 in the back and 2 in the front. That's enough for me though.
I created a simple custom PCB for the LEDs, switches, and the momentary to latching adapter for the power. (I used this switch https://www.pololu.com/product/2808). It was my first attempt at designing a PCB, so I made a few mistakes. It works, but I might do a new version soon.
I think it turned out pretty decent in the end. Looks pretty sleek and modern, and it's nice to finally have it protected and setup with my other consoles instead of bare circuits sitting on a shelf. It's also just amazing to have a working power button

...so if you ever find yourself adding the tty2oled screen ( viewtopic.php?t=1887 )by venice, drop me a PM.
I am prepared to print you the custom bezel that I used here ( one with green box ) - all you pay via PayPal will be postage and packing.
The silver logo I used came from here ( https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/9413302 ... decal-case ).
Cheers.

whats the best option for these displays, sd or usb?
Re: Show Us Your MiSTers
USB in my opinion.
There has also been a recent update that if you have WiFi in your MiSTer you can do an over the air update if you choose to set that up.
Lovely additon is this screen.

My newest MiSTer build
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K4AHlbR8SBk
https://github.com/birdybro/MiSTer-Barcade
(gotta update the github with the rest of the stuff I had to do)
EDIT: Going to redesign the screen situation to use a Pimoroni 8" 1024x768 screen most likely, so haven't updated the github in awhile.
