Since they introduced the new customs rules in Brazil, we needed to make sure that the shipments that were previously made were arriving correctly. Currently, everything is in order and arriving at its destination, so I think we can open the stock for Brazil again.

MT32-pi lite Rev.2 for MiSTer now available.
The new revision includes some new features like the SYNTH and ROM buttons (soft rubber) and it’s very compact.
It sits firmly on the side of the Official MiSTer and BlisSTer. It also doesn’t use any cables and it has more stable connection.

Defining the standards, the new MiSTer A/V Pro v9.2 official board replaces that both ANALOG I/O and DIGITAL I/O boards. Committed to official development, 99% mister-devel cores (active cores) are already supported* by new A/V Pro v9.2.
https://ultimatemister.com/product/mister-a-v-pro/

Features:

  • 24 Bit ADV Video DAC with official MiSTer framework integration*

  • Hi-Fi Analog Audio DAC with crystal clear stereo audio, pop-free and better frequency response

  • Exclusive hybrid design, it can be used as Digital I/O only for dual RAM or Analog I/O with AV module

  • ADC-In 1.3 board

  • Mini TOSLINK digital audio

  • USER Port for SNAC, MT-32 Pi and IEC C64

  • Simultaneous HDMI and Analog Audio/Video

  • Unique led system with light isolation

  • High and Low Fan Speed on the back of board (3.3v / 5.5v)

  • High quality construction and modular build with upgradable AV board

  • Compatible with previous Analog cases

Why 24bit Video DAC is better? Not only does the image look amazing and colorful it registers the data by clock. With resistors, like used in other boards, there is no registration of all bits at the same time, so there are more chances to have video artifacts.

With new A/V Pro v9.2 all DE10-nano SWs should be OFF. When framework detect the new A/V Pro v9.2 board it stops using SW3. So SW3 may be helpful just if you use the Digital Dual SDRAM config with corresponding core. In case the core is doing something quicker than framework, it detects the AV board.

Can I ask for clarification on what you mean by “99% mister-devel cores (active cores) are already supported”

I haven’t found a single arcade core yet that works with this board. I’m starting to think I got a bad one. I did not get it from you.

The mister-devel cores are the ones that Sorg has already updated and that are on Github, and it's true that we have a lot of updated Arcades. What's being done now are the updates to Jotego, which is now receiving my sample boards.

Our boards weren't put on sale earlier so that we could implement the new framework on as many cores as possible, and I'll be doing it myself on more obscure cores or those with little development activity. It was also necessary to make some adjustments to the connector, to make it more consistent, low-profile and improve the design in general (new LEDs, low-profile connector, isolators and a battery of tests). We're in no hurry, we need to make it perfect.

Hello Hester
I'm taking advantage of these vacation days and the low season (aka beach) to stock up, including the SNAC-IECs. I can certainly send those out in the next few days. As for the Atari SNACs, I have a few, but I think they need to be revised. I don't know if I'm going to produce many more, unless there are a lot of subscribers. You're a long-time and regular customer, so as soon as I repair these I'll send you a unit free of charge with the IEC.

/ricardo

Hello Ricardo.
What version of the MiSTer SNAC-IEC are you selling?
I'd like to buy a few of the newer versions that have added support for the SRQ Signal, which is needed by the C128 Core for Fast Serial Mode.

Jotego cores now officially compatible with Analog devices' new DAC 24-bit A/V Pro 9.2 board.

For those who already have the new official MiSTer I/O board, can test and give feedback on the new cores. The sound and image are better than ever, making the new I/O the best ever. https://we.tl/t-9D84BHhxZA

I received a Spinner PRO from the last batch you produced. For anyone wondering, the build quality is excellent, the dial and the unit have a decent amount of weight. Significantly better than the Egret plastic thing. Some ideas for a possible later revision:

  • A physical switch to change between the two firmwares would be better than having to manually install MiSTer / PC firmwares.
  • More buttons and maybe even a dpad so that menus can be navigated without the use of a keyboard.
  • Larger case with buttons on the left and right of the spinner so that it rests on the lap better and you don't need to manufacture for left / right handers.

Would be happy to pay the extra for an improved model.

Also, a bit disappointed it doesn't work with the C64 core, was looking forward to playing those Arkanoid ports.

Hello
1) It's something that we are working on ;)
2) That would be other product and I'm sure you will love it.
3) Can be opened by simply removing the four screws and turning the base. I don't produce specifically for right-handed or left-handed people. I only install or ship according to request. The user can rotate it if they prefer. We currently have everything customized.

All devs have my spinner, now it depends on the time and willingness of each one.

Thank you for the feedback!

I have ported Kintrinx' excellent 7800 core paddle support to the VIC-20 core (the code still needs a bit of a clean-up before I do a pull request) and I was planning to port it to other computer cores as well (and possibly arcade cores).

That would be great, as a quick search on Lemo64 indicates that there are a decent number of paddle games on the C64.

That's a shame, as it's the better game IMO. I wonder if someone can hack it with paddle support.

Interestingly, C64 Arkanoid 2 has mouse support in lieu of paddle support. I will check later, but hopefully the MiSTer core has mouse support.

I'm trying to get the spinner working with Pop’n’Bounce for the NEOGEO core. The spinner pro page states that "support works with correct dip switch paddle settings and arcade mode". However, when I enter the Hard Dip screen for this game, how do you actually change the individual dip switches? Nothing seems to work, with certain buttons just taking you back to the main settings menu.
