Freewheel?

Anyone got the mousescrolling to work? Seems MiSTer Minimig should support it, but not sure how to get it to work?
I found this ticket on the git:
https://github.com/MiSTer-devel/Minimig ... /issues/66
But seems to still be a problem. Is it still the Minimig driver that is to be used, or does MiSTer Minimig need a special MiSTer driver instead of the Minimig one?

You just need Freewheel in your wb-startup, no need for the other drivers.

I’m having the same issue, I can’t get the mouse wheel support to work. Using latest MegaAGS image, I have added FreeWheel to it. All the other FreeWheel options work, but scroll wheel has no effect. What am I missing?

I have tested it with the stock Kickstart 3.1 with the stock Workbench floppy to make sure there’s nothing weird about my image. FreeWheel doesn’t make the scroll wheel work there either.

Did you update the Mister framework to the latest (not just the core)?

I got it working. Contrary to what was stated here and in the linked GitHub ticket, you *do* need the “MinimigWheelDriver” to be running before launching FreeWheel. This can be found inside the Minimig release zip, e.g.

You can put it in devs:monitors, it will work
But a more normal location would be C: along with a line in S:User-Startup, or make an icon for it, type “tool”, with CLI and DONOTWAIT as tooltypes, and put it in SYS:WBStartup.

to put it in devs:monitors was not a good idea.

will try option 2........ thanks for help.
i realize that i didn't see enough tutorials.

if you just extract this to the wbstartup folder then reboot the amiga it will work
i had to put it in a 7z file but inside there is the lha that you can extract to the wbstartup folder all the files needed for freewheel to work are in there
no need to edit startup file or anything it will just load and work after reboot

KnC thanks a lot, it works perfectly.
it still amazes me that workbench was so ahead of its time.
i realize that i would have never had such a powerful machine back in the day.
nevertheless i'm impressed.

Strange, all that happens with that directory in the startup is that all files in it will be run... oh, maybe it doesn’t detach ... oh well

I've extracted the minimigfreelwheel archive (thanks for putting the archive together) to wbstartup and the downward wheel scroll is working down but up is jitterty / not usable. This is with a Logitech wired mouse. Anybody experiencing similar issues? Thanks!
