Scaling mode stuck at 3x instead of 4x after quitting some interlaced low-res screens

Hi ! I'd like to report a bug that occurs in games which temporarily switch their resolution from lowres to low-res interlaced.
- for instance, when starting Shadow of the Beast 3 with its introduction
- when enabling a multiball games in some flippers
- after the main menu in Bill's Tomato Game
the problem is, when the picture gets back to the non-interlaced mode, the picture remains way too small -- I use integer scaling and it appears the wrong scaling factor is applied.
Do you have this issue too ?
Cheers !

If you disable integer scaling or switch to 0,5-0,25x is the same?

I can check. The result will be less obvious to spot with smaller steps !
BTW, I use 1080p.

Thorr posted a suggestion on the ao486 (
issue,
thread). Perhaps it could be helpful here, too?

Hi ! I've given a try again and this issue still occurs.
For instance, try to play Lionheart : the ingame scaling factor is still incorrect and the picture is way too small ; same as Bill's Tomato for instance.
Do you guys & gals also have this issue ?

I used the screen adjust to get a 5x scale cropped effect and noticed the screen mode switching while watching demos yesterday. I didn't notice any scaling problems, maybe because of the screen adjust, but my monitor always takes a couple of seconds to switch. I wonder if a trick would be possible to avoid interlace enable/disable switching resolution on the HDMI output.
Screen adjust doesn't always work correctly BTW, with some resolutions I still get bad looking scan lines.

Hi ! Thanks for your reply ! Did you try Uridium 2, SOTB 3, Lionheart, Bill's Tomato Game, or multiball modes in flippers ?
All four incorrectly switch back to a non-interlaced mode.
Hmm, actually, I really don't want to get a 5x scaling factor -- I prefer a smaller a finer picture
cheers

Bump !
No one has this issue at all ? What happens is some games get stuck in (I think) 3x scaling mode instead of 4x after temporarily switching to interlaced resolution back to normal non-interlaced low-res. I use a regular integer scaling mode.
As I said, titles triggering it are : Uridium 2, Shadow of the Beast 3, Lionheart, Bill's Tomato Games, after quitting multiball mode in Slam Tilt...
I think 4x scaling is the sweet spot for the Amiga. IMHO 5x looks too much pixellized (pixellated ?) and 3x is really too small
