Arcade joystick and buttons on different HID devices - Can I assign both to a single player?

In my arcade cabinet I have UltraStik360 joysticks which are USB devices. However, the arcade buttons are using a DaemonBite encoder so they are a different USB device.

Is it possible to use these two different USB devices for a single player?

When I start to configure the MiSTer buttons and use the UltraStik, it won't let me use the DaemonBite buttons.
