Bad scaling on 1920 x 1200 monitor

I just started using my DE-10 Nano today, and trying to figure out a lot of things.
I'm connecting the DE-10 to a 1920 x 1200 monitor and the pixel scaling is horrible by default. I think the DE-10 is outputting 1280 x 720, which my monitor will then be upscaling to 1920 by 1200, which is horrible for multiple reasons (latency + horrible blurred non integer scaled pixels).
I wonder if it's possible to force the output screen resolution to 1920 x 1080, as my monitor does not force stretch that resolution?

Comment out the existing video_mode line on your mister.ini file and add the following:
For 1920x1200:
video_mode=1920,128,208,336,1200,1,3,38,193160
or if you prefer 1600x1200:
video_mode=1600,64,192,304,1200,1,3,46,162000

Use integer scaling (option in the INi file).
I have a 1920x1200 monitor and things scale really nicely with it, filling more vertical space than 1920x1080.

Brilliant, I didn't know it went all the way up to 1920x1080. I thought it maxed out at 1920 x 1080. This really helps.

If it helps, this is what I use with my 1920x1200 monitor:
Code: Select all
video_mode=1920,48,32,80,1200,3,6,26,154128

Here's a good RetroRGB article by SmokeMonster on the subject that could help you.
The support for non-standard resolutions appears to be core-dependent so you might not be able to output in that mode. My advice in this situation would be that you set it to a standard resolution (like 1080p) and change your monitor's settings like in the attached image I got from your monitor's user manual. You need to change wide mode from fill to 1:1, that's what is causing your monitor to stretch the image at different resolutions.
