Hi guys!

I don't know if all the devs have migrated to the new forum yet. Made another core for MiSTer, a 1949 computer called EDSAC and it can play the one of the first preserved computer games ever - tic tac toe. Check out the video:

As it is an old, but fully functional computer, I suggest to merge it to main core/computer list. All in favor say aye.

Awesome! I'm all for MiSTer as a computer museum. I mean "Aye!".

Electronic delay storage automatic computer (EDSAC) was an early British computer. Inspired by John von Neumann's seminal First Draft of a Report on the EDVAC, the machine was constructed by Maurice Wilkes and his team at the University of Cambridge Mathematical Laboratory in England. EDSAC was the second electronic digital stored-program computer to go into regular service. Later the project was supported by J. Lyons & Co. Ltd., a British firm, who were rewarded with the first commercially applied computer, LEO I, based on the EDSAC design. Work on EDSAC started during 1947, and it ran its first programs on 6 May 1949, when it calculated a table of squares and a list of prime numbers. EDSAC 1 was finally shut down on 11 July 1958, having been superseded by EDSAC 2, which remained in use until 1965.

Interesting. Fascinating to have these old computers as working museum pieces on MiSTer!

my point of view is that any machine for mister that is "mister compliant" in his code, should be merged.

I'd love to see this added as a main core.
While I do enjoy gaming on the MiSTer, my main interest is retro computing and getting to play with all the systems I either grew up with or would normally never get the chance to play with.

Would be great to get this added into Main, is a brilliant preservation project and would be a really nice addition. Someone please make it so.

Absolutely agree, MISTer is a unique platform that can only benefit from cores like this.

What needs to happen for it to be added to Main? Does the developer need to merge it and Sorg approve?

I feel like all mister cores should be introduced in this way. With kickass trailers. Haha

WOW! It would be wonderfull core! Like PDPs and other great historical computers!!

Since the opinion seems to be in favor, I added the core to the main computers list.

I haven't yet had the chance to play with this machine but I've just looked at the project page and was blown away by the detail you've added.
THIS is an amazing example of great supporting documentation for a core.

How about some other PDP machines?
There are no emulators out there for the elusive and very rare PDP-2!
But seriously, the PDP-8, 10, and 11 are doable and there's FPGA code out there for all of those.

LEO would get my vote as the first UK commercial computer based on EDSAC

My Great Uncle talked to me about working on drawings and hand wired boards for LEO like those pictured.
