IO Board v6.1 Switch?

I tried to google and search on the forum without any luck, anyone know the purpose of the switch on the IO Board ? (the words around it are SOG: OVR AUTO)

Sounds like it’s sync on green which is a specific kind of video signal where (you guessed it) the sync signal is encoded into (over?) the green signal.

SOG = Sync on Green
This switch controls if sync signals are inserted on the green color channel. (some older CRTs used sync-on-green).
Auto is let the core decide, but you can override the core by switching to OVR.
