A little mystified, but probably overestimating the results of my PVM seeing the MiSTer.ini file I've installed. My set up:
PVM-1455OM (OM, not the common 1454QM.) This is a rare Hospital Grade PVM.. so I'm hoping I lucked out and found a Monitor supporting higher resolutions i.e 720p etc.
I used the MiSTer.ini generator to create my .ini file: https://ini.misterkun.io/
I use the Analog I/O Board with a VGA to Component Cable, sync on Green.
So my .ini file settings are like this:
[MiSTer]
;VIDEO MODE
video_mode = 0 (This is the DEFAULT at 1280 x 720 @60Hz 720p)
;VIDEO SETTINGS
menu_pal = 0
dvi_mode = 0
fb_terminal = 1
fb_size = 0
video_info = 0
hdmi_limited = 0
vsync_adjust = 0
;VGA SETTINGS
forced_scandoubler = 0
ypbpr = 1
composite_sync = 1
vga_scaler = 0
direct_video = 0
;VIDEO SCALING
vscale_mode = 0
vscale_border = 0
;AUDIO SETTINGS
hdmi_audio_96k = 0
volumectl = 1
;MISC SETTINGS
key_menu_as_rgui = 0
So it displays fine on my PVM this way. I'm just wondering if the Analog I/O Settings override the Video Mode Settings? In other words can I put in anything in the Video Mode and it won't make a difference if I'm using the Analog I/O Board? Or does my PVM actually support 720p, (which would be unknown in the PVM support over 480i listings.) Thanks
PVM VGA2Component seeing 720p?
