DIN5 to USB inserface

Unread post by kathleen »

Dear all,
For those who like me want to use AO486 for pure dos and do not want to use a modern USB keyboard but would love to use their old DIN5 keyboard instead, this interface is really a nice to have.

I bought one and received it yesterday and of course I tried it before on a PC with 86Box to be sure the interface works and it worked, I then connected it to the Mister with the AO486 w/o knowing that it will be recognized and it has been recognized and worked immediately like a charm.

I wanted to share my experience with you in case of you know this interface and wondering if it works or not prior buying it. So now you have the answer :-)

Here is where I bought it : https://www.befr.ebay.be/itm/Adattatore ... SwoAZfc1zB

But maybe findable elsewhere, for me it was the better choice as the supplier is located in Europe

This looks nice, I use a DIN to PS/2 adapter that is connected to a PS/2 to USB adapter, and this is rather clunky this solutions is much more elegant.
