Question about vscale_mode

Unread post by tonyt76 »

If I want to use the DB-15 on the I/O board for analog out to an arcade monitor, do I leave vscale_mode set to 0?

I want all games to display in their native resolution & refresh rate.

Thanks!

vscale_mode only applies to the scaler, so if vga_scaler=0 its not relevant to your arcade monitor.

If you are using vga_scaler=1, generally vscale_mode=2 will work with CRTs and deliver minimal lag. 1 will sometimes stabilize cores that are dropping signals, while 0 can be used to force 60 hz or something close to it if your display can't handle the core's true refresh rate.
