What happened to the Baud Settings [OSD]
What happened to the Baud Settings [OSD]
What happened to the Baud settings?
There used to be several speeds to choose from 300, 1200, 2400, 9600, etc....
It was nice to have the choice to switch modem speeds on the fly.

Mine are missing as well. I have updated everything and still no choices. Using the virtual modem in the c64 still works at 2400 as set in my midilink.ini file, but I can't get the virtual modem working in ao486 or Minimig at any speed. Not sure what changed. I'm continuing to troubleshoot.

Does your virtual modem work in MINIMIG or AO486 core? Mine doesn't. In fact, it only works now in the c64 core.

Same for me.duhproject wrote: ↑Wed Jan 13, 2021 11:19 pmDoes your virtual modem work in MINIMIG or AO486 core? Mine doesn't. In fact, it only works now in the c64 core.

Re: What happened to the Baud Settings [OSD]
There has been changes which breaks the modem functionality.
I am aware of the issue and have been communicating and working with Sorgelig to reorganize the UART OSD.
It is confusing to have the (TCP) modem under MIDI.
I have broken "Modem" option out as separate UART option. Now [NONE, PPP, CONSOLE, MIDI, MODEM]
This is my WIP although its not finished yet -->https://github.com/bbond007/Main_MiSTer ... 384cdbc039
Anyway, to try this out you'll need to replace "/media/fat/MiSTer" and also replace "/sbin/uartmode"

Re: What happened to the Baud Settings [OSD]
I am still working on the fix. Unfortunately I am having a problem with neck pain and have to limit my time in front of the computer for now.
Unfortunately fix will require a new SD Linux image in addition MiSTer menu, so I need to make sure everything is perfect before I submit PR to Sorgelig...
I will post further updates here --> viewtopic.php?f=27&t=375
Thanks!

Re: What happened to the Baud Settings [OSD]
Hi ! I used to manually edit /sbin/uartmode to raise the serial port speed for the Minimig - apparently the value I choose manually is not applied anymore. Any idea ?
Re: What happened to the Baud Settings [OSD]
Hm, okay, I'm not supposed to set it this way anymore.
So my question would rather be : is it possible to add a baudrate value to the OSD list ? (230400 for faster PPP with the minimig core, it currently only displayed 115200 bps -- would be super useful for imp3 online modules player
