What program are people using to play MIDI tunes? Loading up Monkey Island 2 and listening to the theme tune is getting a bit boring now
Thanks for the link. It is a real shame it does not have a file browser built in. My memory now is not so good remembering truncated file names and their location to type into the CMD.
It all seems a bit long winded.
Is there a way of say setting up a Norton Commander type of program to browse the .mid file and link/run dosmid on the selected file?
@Higgy: try using Dos Navigator, you can associate file types with specific programs, so they will run automatic when you hit Enter on a file.
I don't remember by heart now where to edit those file types, will check it later.
Back in the 90's , DN was my favorite file manager, it has a lot of nice features.
Later edit: See the screenshot examples, you need to edit "dn.ext" file from DN folder to your needs, also to have those programs in Autoexec's path. Think this is the easier way, create/modify entries etc

Thanks for mentioning this tool. I have been having a lot of fun in using DOSMid. In fact, I have created a playlist (m3u) of my favourite tunes..including SIERRA!
It also lets you to specify the .syx file associated to the .mid files.
