FDS Audio Level

I find that the FDS audio is a bit too low compared to my real FDS. Is there somewhere that this can be adjusted? I don't see an option in the core to control the volume, just one to turn the two streams off or on... maybe a CFG file? The only one I see in the /media/fat/config is not readable with a text editor so I figure that's where the core is storing it's settings.

Are you using a Famicom or an AV Famicom?
