PCE CD hacks audio issues

I've got a couple of soundhacks that give a loud static noise when loaded. The game works fine, expect the "hacked" soundtrack doesn't work.
For instance Castlevania with japanese soundtrack or gates of thunder with different soundtrack.
Now, obviously this is due to the way they were hacked and not necessarily a Mister issue, but just wanted to know if there is something that needs to be fixed in the files themselves or something like that.

All the ones I have work fine. Redump Supplement and I've even tried the electrohaze gate of thunder remaster directly from their site.
Make sure your Main_Mister is up to date.
If it is, you probably need to be more specific about which hacks aren't working. Filenames/checksums etc.

Are you using bin/cue or CHD? I had redbook issues with one or two of the Rondo English translations a month or two ago but that was due to issues with how CHDs were handled. The bin/cues I converted the CHDs from worked fine though. Either way, the CHD problem was fixed a little while ago.
My problem was with tracks not starting at the correct time or the beginning of the next track playing for a few seconds.

Mine come from the PC Engine Redump Supplement but they are all kinds of messed up lol. I mean it's got a cue file, and track 2 and 22 are iso files?? I think I just need to source a better copy of it

Even the 'good' version has those files named 'iso'. I think they're just named badly.
Now that I think about it more, I think I ran into the same issue when I was doing the CHD work. I downloaded a newer version of everything and those worked. I never investigated what the issue was, probably because it was also broken with bin/iso/wav so I assumed it was just a weird dump.

Turn the cd audio down as the hacks have proberly got boosted music volume for the original machine as music on lots of games is a little low when playing on a real pc engine hardware, the mister core boosts the music volume by default just turn it down 2 and it will all be fine.
