Kodi

Unread post by beamrider »

Does anyone think it would be possible to get KODI working on the linux side of the MiSTer?

A few of us probably have a MiSTer under our main living room TV and being able to double as a HTPC would be a bonus.

Mister is not designed for that.
The arm part of the DE10Nano is mostly powerfull as a RPi 1/2 without video graphic card.
So Kodi will not work correctly.

Wouldn't this work with the FPGA handling the video decoding? At least there seem to be some commercial implementations for that:

That discussion already took place on the old forum and the summary is: It is not possible, because of no GPU and making a compatible GPU in FPGA is not feasible.

Just use a Raspberry Pi.
